These hair oils are perhaps my 2 favourite products from Organic Oils by Hema. I’ve experimented with loads of different hair oils before, but I’d not really been wowed by anything until I came across these. The bottles originally were sealed by a cork, but having just ordered another batch ahead of lockdown, the cork has been replaced by a screwcap (have a look at the pictures above). Personally I think the screwcap is more practical in the sense that it’s a lot more secure and better prevents oil from leaking out, but I’ve not had any problems with the corks either. The packaging is so nicely designed too!
Orange Passion Nourishing Hair Oil
The Orange Passion oil is perfect for maintaining gloss and shine on the hair, without making it look greasy. Having dyed my hair a year ago, it’s really helped to revitalise and rejuvenate the ends of my hair in particular, which usually are quite broken and brittle. In addition, my hair is naturally very frizzy, but since using this oil the frizz has definitely been tamed a lot, to the point where I have (temporarily) stopped straightening my hair to give it a break from the heat. Plus, its scent is so lovely! You can either use the oil overnight as a conditioning treatment, or you can use it as a serum after styling, which is what I do.
Wild Lemon Hair Growth Oil
The Wild Lemon Hair Growth Oil is great for encouraging hair growth, and it contains plenty of vitamins, minerals and fatty acids to prevent and remedy hair loss. I often suffer from malting because of stress and also I tend to get quite a lot of hair shedding when straightening or tying my hair up, but since using it I have seen so much less hair loss and my hair is slowly starting to get thicker as well which I love! The Wild Lemon Oil is also very refreshing on my hair – it leaves my scalp feeling much cooler and does not leave my hair feeling greasy or weighed down after usage. I normally put this oil in my hair the night after washing it, and then wash my hair the day after that, but you could also use it after styling if you want to.
These lip butters come in 3 different flavours:
Vanilla with Rose (which I’m currently using)
Mango with Mint
Raspberry with Vanilla
Each one has such a nice scent (I find the mango one is definitely the most prominent) and the butters themselves are super soft on the lips. What I really like is that even if I only apply 1 or 2 coatings to my lips, they stay moisturised for the whole day and they can also be used to help combat dry skin around your lips!
